It is much chillier here than I had planned, so last night I slept in my silk sleep sack liner with my coat and my towel laid over top of me to stay warm. Today’s walking weather was brought to us by the letters F and U as it was chilly, cloudy, and drizzly for most of the day.

Early this morning before sunrise we passed the marker for 100km left to go until Santiago! Very exciting moment where hopefully you cannot see my nose dripping!

I was very grateful for the only break in the weather we had right when we were able to take a tiny detour off the regular path to see some ruins from pre-Roman times. They were believed to have been occupied by Celto-Iberians from the 4th century BC until the 1st century AD when the Romans came to the Iberian peninsula.

Castro de Castromaior

Tomorrow will be slightly warmer and hopefully dryer as we have a long day of walking to our next stop- 17.5 miles/ 28 km!

The Celto-Iberians left my initial?!?- it’s a sign I was meant to be here
