Left León in the dusky time just before dawn. Leaving the city is miles of sidewalk and suburbs which is a stark contrast to miles of open farm land from the previous days. Climbing a slight hill leaving town allowed for a look back at the tippy top of the still visible cathedral. On the outskirts of town there are several “bodegas” or wine cellars/storage rooms built into the ground. They look like hobbit houses.

Walking today was not the most pleasant environment as it was next to a busy highway the whole way, but again I tried to focus on the beauty.

I can see the hills in my future getting closer by the day but I will think about that tomorrow said Scarlet… Today I sit resting in the sun and breeze by the pool at my Albergue. It is much too cool outside to go in the water but it is still nice to sit next to!
